My favorite classics are: 1 - Eastern Airlines - Home base Miami Florida ( This airline has come back! Charter flt's for now but service to Carib. and S.America is expected within a year and they will have the same plane livery as the Eastern we knew in the past!)
2 - MDW,Midway Airlines - Originally from Chicago - moved base to Raleigh North Carolina, USA Most of there flights and planes were transfer to Republic Airways after a 9/11 bankruptcy that literally shut them down - as with many small airlines. (My Dad was a pilot for Midway)
3 - HOT, HootersAir - Hooters Air, a Myrtle Beach-based airline The airline was established in 2003 and started operations on March 6, 2003. It was founded by Hooters of America restaurant owner Robert Brooks, who acquired Pace Airlines in December 2002. Although not doing commercial flights, they still do charters. Mostly for sports teams. They also still fly as Pace but retain the Hooters "Owl" logo on many planes.
