EDIT by Moderator: This Flight Set is eligible for award status. When Peerhoven Air VA was still open, I never got to finish my re-creation of Amelia Earharts last mission around the world. That is changing as of now!
I am going to start over and do it on MaxFreight. I don't plan to interupt my logbook with other flights until I am finished. I have the the mod. that mimics her plane from Flightsim.com, also the flight plans. Both are available at www.flightsim.com just search Amelia Earhart or d/l l10eae01.zip - the best that I could find and is modified the way she had her's. The most realistic on the web. Also there are flight plans under the same topic aewfv01.zip A site is also available that has given alternate airport where the originals of 1937 are no more. That site is www.airnorthwest.org/specops/amelia/amelia.htm
I will be doing most on the server at flyfs.hopto.org/ but some I will do on Vatsim. If anyone would like to join me you are welcome. This is something I've wanted to do since I started on FS and now I'am gonna get it done. EDIT: Please note the scenery for Howland Island at the above link is for X-plane. Scenery for FS9 / FSX is available at flightsim.com Just search "Howland Island".

Using fsNav4.7 intersections and NDB's only as there were no VOR's in 1937. Tried to do on the HopTo sever and saw MAX302 but it wouldn't let me connect. Overweight - too much fuel for this flt. I need to better manage that! Disappointed but not to give up.Have a Froggie Hopp'in Day!

I love that you post info on each route. Considering my own host server and these would be great Hop flt's! As for the server, they are all like that! I installed FSHostSpy. List hundreds of servers for MSFS & P3D. Very small file (I'll email to you), find one you like with people on and go there! Have fun and fly strong girl! Your one-third done!!!!!

I enjoyed this flt. Many different and challenging things to consider with weather and NDB's. Wish people join me sometimes. Great flight, me froggie happy!
